Today is my 1 year anniversary. I'm back up to 172 from 169. I haven't lost any weight this month. I need to get serious and start loosing again. I have been having terrible gas and bloating, does anyone else have this problem? What helps? thanks for everyones support over the past year. Dianne 340/172/150

Hi Dianne, What a year Huh? You've had so many changes this year, job, body, location, etc! Gas-x helps with the gas and bloating. I have to maintain my water, activity and curb the snack monster to keep my loss. However I'm in the part of my journey where my weight is doing the monthly up/down. (If you go to the loss planner it suggests that in your final losing months you'll alternate a month of gain with a month of loss. . .that's where I am too although I have been able so far to relose within the same month what I've regained. I'm currently at 188 - lowest I've seen so far is 186. You're an amazing lady Dianne - you have a GREAT attitude and you just keep plugging away. Big hugs and continued support. ~Lara

Thanks Lara, You Too are an amazing lady and and have been a true inspiration to me. I love your advice. Once you said you go to OA, do you still go, I want to start going, can you give me some advice? I've kind of been procrastinating afraid they'll reject me because of the surgery. I need to go. I am a compulsive eater and starting to slip into old patterns. Not good, kind of scary. I want to be accountable for my actions. Dianne 340/170/150

Thank you for your kindness and sweet words. I have gone to OA off and on but to be fully honest I have not committed myself to the program at this time. I know its there if I need it, but right now I'm not ready. I have however been working with my therapist regularly - and she's an eating disorder specialist. So, I've been working my program that way. If you do decide to do it might I recommend getting a sponsor right away. They are instrumental to guide you into the program. I also remain very active in my WLS support group which I go to most Tuesdays. And I've angeled for 4 people - which has been incredibly rewarding. I wish you the best Dianne, ~Lara

Thanks, I should just bite the bullitt ant try it. The support group here meets only once and month and is downtown and I haven't been, I may try it sometime, but OA would be good for me. Thanks. Dianne

Dianne, Congratulations! You have done great! As for the gas, yes I have it alot! I tend to eat a bit more fiber than I should, but as another poster said - Gas-ex to the rescue! It works wonders! I usually just have to take one and I am better. Here's to many more years of great health!!! Dawn
