Hi everyone, I have been able to wear a wide variety of pants sizes, I can now wear a W 16, missy 10 and a 16 R... the sizes in different brands can vary soooo much and its sooo frustrating.. WELL, last night I measured my waist and it was 35 inches. this is down from 51 inches. I have often wished that womans pants were labeled more like men, ya know by waist and length, because a standard size 18 in women does not fit everyone that size the same.... Anyways, I went to my husbands drawer and pulled out a size 34/30 and pulled them on and OMG they fit! they are just a little too short but next time I go to the store I am looking in mens for a 34/32. Once I get the hernia fixed near my belly button I bet I could even get into smaller jeans but I will wait on that. anyone else wear mens pants? Donna 277/171/150

Oh my Donna, you've got long legs! :::green with envy::: Anyways, I have done that, but DH has always been bigger than me, so it doesn't work anymore.... He's wearing 38's now, some he has to squeeze into a bit, some are getting loose, he's about 202 lbs today. I must measure him though, we never ever did... I think the biggest I saw on him was a 54/56"... My hips pushed bigger than that at one time.... 60+ I'm sure. YIKES! My waist was 30 inches last week, hipbones, 34", biggest part of lower hips/panni/butt was 40". Pear. After PS, I'll be gone, I think... I've never been this small....... and I have NO bum left either, that's all skin/fat on my hips/belly... gross!! I do! I like them because they tend to be more taperd in the hip and thigh (some women's pants look like clown pants on me because I was not graced with an excessively womanly shape) I can wear 34s in public without getting arrested. I've not tried on 32s. My favorite jeans (other than the 10L Abercrombie jeans I'm wearing today) are a pair of 36/34 Express for Men jeans that are slim fit (LOVE IT!) and were pre-distressed. They make me feel like a rockstarr! Huggles, ~Lara

Lara, That is good to know, my waist size tends to be one size bigger than my hips in women's clothes. So most of my pants look like clown pants. I'll have to check out the men's section. Dianne

My sister does, she & I are short in the waste.....seems that men's fit better! Plus, they are usually cheaper!

Donna, Calvin Klein jeans have the waist size listed on their tags. I love CK button fly jeans. They seem to fit me the best. It is a shame because my favorite pair are a size 34 waist and my waist is now 29. I dare not try to get them altered. Oprah had the fashion police on the other day and she said no one should wear tapered jeans. We should all be wearing bootcut, it slims us. I buy all my jeans at the Salvation Army, $3 and I have a closet full of designer labels. I also have a pair from Express that are button fly and it seems that they are more relaxed in the hip area where I need it most. Here is something funny. I have a pair of size 20 Jones NY jeans that I wore post op, the fit was comfortable, I put them on today with a few other post op articles of clothing and it was totally hysterical, even suspenders could not hold those bad boys up. I am glad you are doing so well. Lori 258/155/148.
