I am LOSING right now! Can't believe that my Plateau has finally given up & let me start losing again. I have lost 9# in 2 weeks .... YEAAAAA I have been doing 1 protein shake with CC milk in the morning & then 1 at night about an hour before bed ... don't know why it is working but it is. Adding the 2 protein shakes a day is all that I have done differently ... each shake gives me 35g of protein per sitting so I bumped up from around 60g a day to 100-120g a day. Sue 318/189/180

Sue- Are you eating your meals as well, just adding protein? I read last night that if we take in the protein shakes *in addition* to our regular meals, our bodies are more likely to let go of fat because they don't feel "starved" and won't need to hold on to every last ounce... It said to add 60-100 grams of quality protein supplements (whey protein or the like, no junk shakes with fake oils/fillers like Slim-Fast) Sounds like that's what you did... If it really works that way, I'd be so much better off, because I could "snack" on protein shakes and eat meals too... perhaps that's the route I should be taking. -beth HW- 313 SW- 298 CW- 149 -149 lbs, 149 left,

Yes I take a shake for breakfast - eat a Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner then Shake again ... I feel like all I do is Eat & Drink now I use the GNC's 100% Whey Protein & Mix in the Carb Countdown 2% Milk (makes it more like a milkshake that way) .... if I use plain Chocolate then I mix in an extract to make it fun (like Pineapple, Cherry, Orange, Banana etc). I thought I would give it a shot & I am SO glad I did because it BLASTED my plateau right out of the water! Happy Thoughts for today! Sue 318/189/180

I'm glad it's working for you! Do you know roughly how many cal/fat/carb/protein you're doing? I'm looking for balance still.. I can't seem to figure out if I need MORE or LESS... -beth

Adding- Morning- 12 oz coffee 4 oz CC Skim = Lunch- (not a good protein choice, but it curbed grazing) Chicken soup sans chicken- 1/4C green beans, cooked 1/4C baby carrots, cooked 1/4C chicken broth 1/8C noodles *Immediately after eating this, I felt ill and dry heaved?! Eww. Afternoon- 25 oz diluted decaf tea *planning another 25 oz DDT *planning on a Strawberry Shake with GNC Whey Protein -beth

Adding- Afternoon, continued- (didn't have shake) 32 oz vanilla caramel iced tea with equal 1/2C watermelon 8.5 oz SF Red Bull Dinner- EAS Carb Control Chocolate Protein Bar (out) (home) 1 meatball 1/4C tortellini (or less, just two tastes, really...) Totals- 703 18 69 (lower sugar alcohols, blah blah blah..) 67 -beth

HI!!! I was running late today, so only got in 20 oz coffee, FF milk, and Splenda. Breakfast- 2-3 oz chicken, with 1 oz cheese, 1/4 c FF ricotta, and hot sauce Lunch 11 medium shrimp, with ****tail sauce (ketchup and horseradish) Dinner Hubby is making bratwurst, but, as much as I would LOVEW this..I can't..I just know I will :puke: if I do..too much fat/grease/other yummy stuff... I will have something, dunno what yet..maybe turkey roll ups or my old chicken stand by, with veggies I am going to fill up on Crystal Light and water today...I want 174 tomorrow!!!!! I have been too good lately not to have a loss! Wha! Janice

I'm back...the cruise was so much fun...I didn't gain, but didn't lose either. Stayed away from the alcohol, but ate some carbs. They even had tons of sugarfree options. So today I start my liquids...only liquids for three days...my system needs a kick start. Water Protein Drink Water Water Protein Drink (Planned) Water Water Protein Drink Water Water Protein Drink Water Water Lets see if I can do this for three days without caving.

hey beth - this is so great!!! bf: protien shake (1/2 banana, 2 tbs cocoa (sugar free), 1/3 cup ccd milk, 2 tbls peanut butter, 1 scoop vanilla protien powder, 2 cups ice lunch: 2 bonless buffalo (sauce with no butter) skinless chicken thigh nuggets snack1: atkins morning start bar dinner: chicken breast seared with garlic, green beans snack 2: protien shake water throughtout the day 200 ounces Open RNY 4/19/2004 "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
