Wild Wednesday- Post food here!
I'm working on increasing my awareness of better foods to eat and getting in more exercise...I'm a pretty big carb eater, have been since surgery because carbs go down the easiest. I still have trouble getting much down of other kinds of foods....I wonder if I might have Soft Food Syndrome going on...I did have a stricture early on so it's definitely possible.
breakfast: coffee with NSA hot chocolate
1 slice cheese toast on light wheat
1 slice cinnamon toast (made with very little sugar, mostly splenda on light wheat)
snack - 1/2 serving of Doritos (2 year old snagged the rest)
lunch - 2 Tbsp ground beef, 1 Tbsp refried beans & sprinkle of cheese with a couple of tostado chips
handful of grapes
dinner/snack - probably will have an early dinner of a lean cuisine, love the Beef Peppercorn. I have college class tonight from 6-8:45pm so I should eat before I go then can have a lite bite when I get home.
evening - probably some cottage cheese with applesauce.

Editing/adding more to my day:
Lunch-
3 (1 oz) meatballs, from frozen, portion control, huh?!
Enough sauce to smother 'em
64 oz diluted 4C light tea (I think this is better tasting than the Crystal Light... so far) One bottle pre-lunch, one now...
2 caramel Viactiv chews

Adding to my day, yet again:
Snacks-
16 oz coffee/espresso/light cream/=
Dinner-
1 bite baked beans (SWOON!!)
1 bite cheese, yuck the nastiness of american cheese,
(that was literal picking at the kids' dinner (they had soup/grilled cheese/baked beans, I'll eat a meal of my own in a while when I finish my liquids)
Dinner for me will probably be a green salad with cottage cheese...

Of course, I had to start the day off with my pot of decaf, with Splenda and milk (about 75 oz total)
breakfast (at noon) 1/2 cup turkey chili with 1 0z cheese on top
snack 1 Venti nonfat sugar free vanilla latte (decaf, of course), no foam...I am convinced all calories are packaged in foam)
Lunch (in a little bit) 2 oz chicken breast with 1 oz cheese, and lots of hot sauce..of course
Dinner...who knows...does anyone plan this far ahead in their day when they have small children? Probably something chicken based...with veggies...and cheese...
Janice
Janice, woman, you drink more coffee than even me, holy crap! But I gotta ask- DECAF?? Why bother!! I drink it specifically for the caffeine. I add a shot of espresso to all my regular coffee when I'm out of the house, too. Can't drink it plain anymore! I do not enjoy coffee at home much anymore, which may be a good thing, because I cannot mimic the flavor without real espresso. I've got a espresso machine... but I'm avoiding it.

Decaf? Hmmm..I guess me doing the jitterbug while simply walking down the street had something to do with it! LOL Hubby usually leaves me a cup from his pot of leaded in the AM so that I can at least wake up! I have fallen head over heals with Torino's flavored syrups...s/f Almond Roca and the s/f white chocolate are to die for!!!
I, too, have an espresso machine, but I am afraid of it..it sounds violent at times! Hee hee!
Oh, need to add I made skillet chicken cordon bleu for dinner..yummy, and relatively low in fat (apart from fat from chicken...)
Janice
Recipe? Peeease!
I have a hard time with chicken, but I'll keep trying!!

I found this AMAZING store yesterday called Sugarless Delights! This store caters to diabetics and other special people (WLS patients). Everything in the store is sugar free and they have everything. They let me sample all kinds of things. They make their own chocolate candies too. I was in heaven! I bought 2 pieces of candy and I swear it tasted every bit as good as the regular chocolate candy. It will satisfy my sweet tooth when needed. They even sell some baking ingredients and stuff like Steels and Nature Sweet. Just awesome!
