Just Committed Myself!
No...not to an assylum...though sometimes???
Actually, I'm running a marathon. My first since surgery, but my third in my lifetime. I've given myself plenty of time to train...its June 5th. I'm doing it in honor of my 40th birthday. I want to say I was fit enough to run a marathon at 40...even though I'll be two month shy of 40 in June...close enough.
I have met so many nice people through this site, one of them, Scott Boliver, from the California board is running with me. So I can't let him down!
Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted on progress.
Now I gotta go cuz my little guy wants to play a game of wack-a-mole.

Rachel,
I'm so happy to hear this news!! I'm training for a 1/2 marathon on April 2. I should be to my goal by then (7 lbs to go) and I'm running in honor of our 1 year anniversary of surgery. I've never done it before - heck, I've never even run before. I've been training since late Oct. and it feels good b/c I can do it. But, I'm discovering that is really mind over matter. I would love any training advise you have since your a pro!
Good luck!

Thanks Tandi! Congrats onyour weight loss so far. Ha! I'm hardly a pro, its been 5 years since my last full marathon. But I use the Galloway method for training. You can look it up on line. He offers some great advice. But my advice is simple...keep moving at all times...once you top its hard to get started again! LOL
Good luck to you and keep us posted on progress.
Rachel
