Ronda, I gained too. I am telling myself it MUST be the fact that I'm exercising. I'm back up to 157.5 today, 1.5 lbs MORE than previous days. :-l This is day three of walking on the treadmill 30mins-1 hr daily... and ONE day of eating more protein/calories. Figures. UGH. -beth Someday I'll fly, someday I'll soar, someday I'll be so damn much more than my body gives me credit for. Why is it not my time? What is there more to learn? You're having a great day food-wise, Beth! I've been bad today..... breakfast - iced decaf coffee with 1 scoop of Vanilla Unjury protein lunch - Grandy's fried chicken livers (I ate 3) oops! craving M&Ms but not eating them (good them I don't have any in the house) dinner - dunno yet! Ronda

OK, I officially suck! I was standing there, making my family's dinner...shepards pie. Well, as I was mashing the taters into submission, they flew at my head and the only way to prevent them from poking an eye out was to open wide and EAT THEM!!! It was a mercy killing, I tell ya! Anyway, about 2-3 tablespoons of homicidal and suicidal taters forced themselves to an angry death of being chomped and swallowed. I had to do it...the voices told me to...really...they did... Oh, I also drank 30 more oz of crystal light and am currently doing enance with a delicious 20 oz cup of vanilla caramel tea with splenda and milk (skim, of course). I may have to go an extra round of Harrod's Earl Grey and Ceylon as well....I've been baaaad, but it felt soooo good! (Did I mention that the taters salted themselves before their kamikaze mission???) Janice

Okay so what is so bad about mashed potatoes? I eat them all the time. Unless of course you had a pound of butter in them and cream! I make mine with skim milk and only add a little bit of butter to the whole batch. I usually eat less than 1/4 c. It's better than eating 1/4 c. of potato chips. According to my dr. the only carbs we should be eating are what grows on a plant. So taters qualify!!! The oreo cookie I ate tonight does not. Now I was BAAAAADDDD. Currently drinking 1/2 gal. of water because I didn't get all mine in today. So I will be up all night peeing! Nighty night. Dawn

Weeellll, I put almost a half stick of butter and whole milk....yikes! My MD is a carb nazi...no carbs (supposedly..I'll let him dream****il goal. Only lean meats and leafy greens...blah blah blah... As for the Oreo...fuggedaboudit!!!! Oreos I can justify because they don't look like a starch..only an innocent cookie...everone knows a cookie never attacked anyone...I have proof that taters do! (Also, I am a biologist....I think I may have to see about creating an Oreo plant...green, leafy...oOOOOOOOOO Yeahhhh!!) Janice

I like that thinking--- plants are good! It's just that while potatoes seem harmless, they metabolize into sugars. But you're right, they are a lesser evil, (mashed taters.... as opposed to chippies) and ohhhhhhhhhh soooooooooo goooooooooooooooood! I am exceptionally naughty, I heat up CREAM, add BUTTER, melt on the stove, add garlic, herbs, salt & pepper--- and add it to the potatoes... OH, mouth heaven! Granted, I haven't had them in months and months, I adore potatoes. I avoid buying them altogether anymore, because I *know I'll eat just the taters and ignore my protein or meat portion of the meal. beth Someday I'll fly, someday I'll soar, someday I'll be so damn much more than my body gives me credit for. I'm doing pretty good this week. I had to start planning out my meals again because my grazing was getting out of control. Water 240z Protien bar and decaf coffee (only thing I allow my self to drink with because bars are too dense otherwise). Water 12oz Snack - Soy protien crispy things (name?) Water 12oz Lunch - Smart ones Water 24oz Snack - String cheese Dinner - Healthy choice sausage in marinara sauce with black beans, corn, bell pepper, onions over a bed of fresh spinach...yum! Glass of wine Water 12oz
