Hi fellow April 2004 WLS friends! I started my journey 4/5/04 - Started at 379 pounds (I am 6'3") - Current weight is 214, or a loss of 165 pounds to date. 15 more to my goal of 199, which will make me "normal" on the BMI scale. I know I have been a fast loser, and have been blessed to date with zero complications. My goal is 2005 is to maintain my health and weightm and to bulk up at the gym my arms & chest. Superman will have nothing on me when I'm through!! How was your year and any great resolutions now that losing weight isn't maybe your highest priority anymore? David

Hi David, Congratulations on a job well done! Hiya David- fellow 4/5'er! I started on 4/5 @ 298... at 158 today... a loss of 140 lbs from surgery, and 155 total since pre-op. I have 28 lbs to my personal goal, but I already hit my "surgery" goal...I'm getting very close to being normal on the BMI scale, I'm still "overweight"--- so a few more lbs to go... My goals are to lose those last pesky pounds, then to also bulk up, ... but not Hulk-esque, just tight and fit. I'd also like to have some plastics done this coming year, but that's up to the insurance company. Nice to see you posting here again... Beth 313/298/158/130

David you have done great I had surgery on 4/15 - had pulmonary embolisms and was in the hospital 11 days. Since then I've gone from 340 to 200 pounds and had no further complications. My goals for this year are to loose fifty more pounds. Start taking yoga, and exercise more. Also to start my new job and move to louisville. Big changes again in 2005. Dianne 340/200/150

I have lost 78 pounds so far and very proud of that! I have 61 to go. I had been a little frustrated with the "slow" loss, but realized over the weekend that I am pretty lucky. I've never lost this much weight and kept it off and my skin is getting time to shrink up! I'm still saggy, but not as bad as some!!! My major resolution is to be more faithful to my exercise plan.

Howdie Stranger! Good to see you again! We are just about at the same place oh buddy at the same height as me! My body analyst has placed my current goal at 190, and I'm at 208 currently. I've lost 192 lbs total, and 143 since my surgery 4.1.04. My goal is to tone my muscles and to keep my attitude sparkling and positive. Hugs to you, ~Lara

Started 4/26/04 -- 330 (5'0")...lost 13lbs pre-op. Current weight is 251 (5'1")...I grew an inch and lost two shoe sizes. A loss of 92lbs... I still plan on working on losing...my surgeon's goal for me is 180lbs, my personal goal is much, much lower 128lbs. I am a slow loser, but am not too worried...I get a little down, but as long as I'm still losing I'm okay. I need to keep my work out habits going because I'll probably need a bit of plastics...how much depends on how well my pocketbook holds up. Happy New Year! 343/330/251/128

Had my surgery on 4/16, and to date have lost 166 lbs. Still get sick frequently, but otherwise no problems. Have a hard time getting in enough calories, and protein, and have started pushing the weight training card. Never realized how emotional I could be, and how much different my outlook on life becomes. Sometimes I look in the mirror and still see a fat person, even though my BMI is now a 25.8. Ayyyyee....the head is still in shambles, but hopefully over time everything will balance out.
