on the exercise front....because of a health issue, I can't do much weight training...but I do love to walk...in nice weather, when the sun is setting, when it is not so cold or hot to be, well cold or hot...LOL But I did get lucky and bought a tape...walk away the pounds....there are 3 tapes (i think), 1, 2 and 3 miles versions...got mine at target. it does not take long and you could do it after the kiddies are in bed OR not sure of their ages, but at some point, your kids will be old enought TO LEARN to entertain themselves for half an hour..... No reason if they are old enough that you could get in a routine that while you exercise each night they could do their homework or color or read.... Perhaps a new routine is needed for everyone in your household....and of course, no reason why they couldn't "walk" along....basically the entire exercise routine is done almost in place and doesn't need much room. Plateaus stink!! We all hate it when the scale doesn't move, and I will be sending warm wishes to you.... RAE

Beth you are a treat! I say go ahead and **** & moan. I've been doing it myself for the past 2-3-4 weeks. LOL I don't suppose this is suppose to be easy. I think my own metabolism died. I'm praying the standstill is the fluid they pumped into me at the hospital cause I ain't feelin' it today. I think I might try the protein thing again. Last couple of weeks I did lose a whole inch. Not even one pound but an inch came off this big butt I have attached. Hey! I can spare butt and boobs. Too bad they don't have transplants. LOL Hmm, think I'll go nuke some bacon. Take care! Oh yeah! And feel free to come here and rant, rave **** Moan and whatever else you feel like. I think we all kinda feel the same thing at times. Thank God we have a place to do it at! Beth, you've got every right to **** and moan!!! We all do or we wouldn't be human. We've all been through so much in the last 8 mo, but look where we are. We're all beautiful women (for the most part women) who have gone through extraordinary transformations. We want to be healthy and "normal". No one ever promised us modelesque bodies. I don't think I'd even want one (well maybe). We all seem to be at the slow-downed pace. I have faith that I (we) will lose those last pounds to goal. We have a great group here for the extra support! Everything sags on me, so what. I look great in my clothes and anybody that see me neked better still love me anyway!! Keep your chin up and b...ch away!!!! Janie 4/14/2004 272/168/140?

Beth, You make me laugh!!! I LOVE the way you described the extra skin! It is so right on! No flaming here, just support! I'm in the same boat as you know and just as frustrated! It sure doesn't help when you're married to a post-op who can just change up a thing or two and "poof" lose again. I wish I knew that song you talked about! Sounds hillarious put in our perspective. Anyway, hang in there girl! We're all "hangin in" together at least!! Ronda 297/286/205/I'll know when I get there

Beth, You're a GEM! RE: the skin. Lara's Stupid Human Trick #47: the jersey cow. Position is gotten into in the "table" stance. My skin is so empty on my torso - tummy, mid, ribcage, hooters (r.i.p.) that when I am in the "table" that it looks like I have 8 empty udders for milking. It is funny. . . until you remember that its your own body that's doing it. Have you trended out your losing to look for a pattern? I find that I lose in a 4 week pattern. I lose like the dickens for 2 weeks a month, and STOP DEAD IN MY TRACKS for 2 weeks. It happens every month like clockwork. It gets overwhelming on each end of the cycle - I get scared when I'm in major losing mode - because it looks so weird, and gets hard to recognize me. I get majorly scared when it stalls - because is it going to start again ever? Take heart and know you're adored by several ladies you've never met. ~Lara

OMG- the VISUAL!! Lara, meet a fellow moo-cow! One tiny difference, I'm still slightly lactating! :-x As for the loss pattern, it's kind of the same... I seem to lose the week of my period... and then stop completely until it comes back, or just lose a pound in those three weeks. I'm hoping this is the winner week... Thanks, a million.... you guys really rock.... -Beth 313/298/165/126

I can sort of relate. I have lost nearly as much, but I am having skin issues. I'd be at least a size or two smaller without this damn stomach and its not even "that" bad, compared to what some have to deal with. Its just getting old, its like that jelly belly you have immediately after child birth, gross. At least now its easier to carry around!
