Half the woman I used to be...literally!

Hey guys, I'm so pumped I just had to share. I had to return some clothes to Target today - they were too small! When I had my surgery I was a full sized 24W. Today I bought two pairs of size 12 pants and they fit great! Though the scale is slowing down I'm amazed at how my body continues to shrink! The loose skin is interesting but I'm still hoping for significant healing and shrinking on it's own. I'm only 25lbs away from my goal (though that could take 6 months to reach at my current rate LOL) but still getting smaller all the time. Just so excited! I haven't been this size in about 10 years and that was for a brief period while I was taking phentermine. On another note I am very proud to be wrapping up my first semester back as a full-time college student. I took 5 junior level classes (15 hours) and I'm making straight A's. Yes, I'm tired but I've managed to do my school work, take care of my two little boy's (6 and 2), several animals and keep the house livable.LOL Before surgery it was all I could do to keep the house clean, the kids and myself clean and everyone fed. I was exhausted at the end of the day - What a blessing this surgery has been! Aylene Lap RNY 4/13/04 278.8/175/150ish

Aylene, You sound so much like me! I was absolutely amazed that I could get my fat butt into a size 9 jeans, and today I wore my first pair of 12's and really I could have worn a 10. I too am about 20 lbs from goal, my weight loss has been consistant and I feel better than I have in years. My friends tell me I glow. I appreciate your struggles, I too am a full time college student, raise my 16 year old daughter alone and live on the go. I still get tired but now I learned to get my adequate rest, eat well and be active and this will keep me happy, healthy, and wise. Lori 258/168/148
