Popcorn?

Has anyone had problems eating popcorn? Has anyone tried it? I'm going out more, and I resign myself to a bad day when I eat tortilla chips at a restaurant or bar. But maybe I could eat popcorn! I haven't tried it and wondered if you had... I see Orville's Smart Pop has mini-bags that have 6 cups (!) of popcorn for 90 calories and 3g protein. That's a better snack than the SF candy I'm eating... Thanks! Erin in Nashville

Erin I have eaten popcorn without a problem. Some dr's say not to eat it and others' say it is ok. So I gave it a try and no problemo. Good luck Mechelle

I was afraid to eat popcorn too, but it goes down nice (for Me) and I have found that it really helps settle an upset stomach. I would start slow. RAE

Erin- I've had popcorn with no problem, I tried it pretty early post-op, but I got the bug in my ear that it was a bad choice, so I haven't had it since. Though, it's a better low-fat choice that the crap I sometimes end up snacking on! I think I was avoiding it because of the carbohydrates, because I know it wasn't because of the texture, because it went down too well... Beth

I LOVE popcorn!!! I have to use air popped or the lowest fat microwave ones I can find! I regular bag lasts me a week!!! I really like the plain popcorn (prepopped) that you can get in the chip aisle. I don't have any problems with it!

I eat popcorn regularly - Its one of my sources of fiber. It will freak you out how much you can eat - it crunches down to nothing in your little pouch so its easy to get in a rather startling quantity. Remember to chew chew chew. ~Lara
