Failing at weight loss.. In hospital today
I think you're doing fine. I too am a "slow loser". I had surgery 4/26 and have lost about 73-75 lbs. I have fluctuated up and down these 2 lbs for almost a month. I have found that over the last 3 months, I only lose weight during my mentrual period, then the rest of the month,I maintain. I usually lose 5-6 lbs each mentrual cycle. I think my hormones are preventing weight loss the rest of the time.
Congratulations on your exercise routine. I also work out 4 days a week for about an hour each time. My physician told me the last visit that I was way above the curve because of the toning. I have very little skin hang (lower belly only) and have definite muscle definition in my arms and legs(hooyah!) I have dropped from a tight size 24 to a loose size 16, but have not decreased from this size in 2 months.
Keep up the good work and don't worry that you are alone. We are legion.
Hi Sweetie,
I just don't understand your doctors concern. 70lbs is awesome! I know someone that had surgery pretty much the same day as you and has lost about 55lbs. I'm not even weighing myself, but I'd imagine I've lost about 65 so far.
Sounds to me like you are doing great!
Keep up the effort, don't let your surgeon get you down. And good luck with the test results.
