I have a question for those of you 6 months out---- DOES IT GET BETTER? Can you eat food???? I mean more than eggs, tuna, PB by the TBS.... Moods? Are they still swinging up and down worse than a rollercoaster ride????? Changes: Can you see the change? How long did it take you? As plain as I can say it--- Does it get better????? And plz do not take this as a complaint- I am looking for a gold lining around a really bleak cloud...and I want to take your answers back to the July board..... We need a little glimmer.....its a mood thing (I hope you understand)

houston doll it does get bette and yes you can start eatting/tring more just as soon as your Dr. says so. i feel you i think we all go thru that at the beginning b/c the diet is so plain. i'm just over five months out and yes i can see the difference, and i think other people outside of my house started telling alot around three months out or so. yes it does get better, with the food, clothes, compliments, and all the special moments you'll start having as a result of losing weight like your rings getting too big, an item you couldn't fit anymore fits again. it gets so much better. sometimes more than words can describe. hang in there it will come together much sooner than later. for me i think i'm a slow loser, but i'm sure so of these fast losers will post and give you there opinion. the mood thing i'm not sure b/c i didn't really experience too much of that, or maybe i did but it was nothing out of the ordinary, oh wait a minute i think you maybe talking about is it going to happen for me re: the mood thing. if so yes i had that alot, too alot of crazy thougts like is this going to work for me, why i'm i losing so slow, i'm i eatting the right stuff, and constantly questions what right and wrong to eat. if that's what your talking about regarding the mood thing oh yessssssss, i been there done that an still visit that swing all the time. well hope that helps. God bless

Hiya! You'd better BELIEVE it's better at six months!! We've lost a tremendous amount of weight, we all look totally different, from the pix I've seen here... As for me, eating is just fine! I can eat basically anything I want, in small amounts. I avoid many carbohydrates and sugar, but I will try anything else at least once! As for moods-- they're better... when you look better you feel better, automatically.. when those clothes start looking good, you get so much more confidence! It took me about 5 months to feel a major change... I'm at six months tommorrow, and things are better already... I've lost 129 lbs, and it's so cool to think I have only 54 to go. Things will be better soon, I PROMISE!! Beth HW- 313 SW- 298 CW- 184 GW- 130

I can eat food. It still doesn't always work (everything I try that is) but in general most things work now. I still can't touch sugar, and grease is always a gamble. I have a very strong little tool installed. Moods - much calmer now. Estrogen dumping happens when you're losing LOTS of weight. As it slows down the moods chill out. Thank God. Change - It was around month 3-4 that I really started to see the changes. It helped me a lot that my girlfriend was very good about informing me when it was time to get rid of clothing that is too big for me. If you're wearing the same clothes and you've lost 40+ lbs, then you need to shift down a size, even if it feels socially uncomfortable at first. Our habit is to drape our bodies in such a way that no one can see them - if you're wearing the same pants as before who could possibly see your tinyer new body under all that extra fabric? Take a risk, dump the old duds, you should be trying on lower sizes at least once a week at this point, because you're losing inches faster than you realize. Pictures pictures pictures - you need to compare old ones to ones you bravely take now. It gets BETTER! LIFE IS SWEET now that I am 115 lbs lighter (160 if you include pre-op weight) Its worth it, believe me. Best wishes, and drop by anytime we've definately been there. ~Lara Lap RNY 4-1-04 HW 400+ SW 355 CW 260 GW 212 Pants 56 to 38 Dress 36 to 16/18
