Okay, I think it's time for new threads... I was thinking I'm going to be in a size 18 forever, but apparently not... Those of you who are between 175-185 lbs, what sizes are you buying/wearing now? I've been wearing all my old clothes, and looking droopy. I have a few smaller items, but I need more... just need inspiration to find things that fit me right. Beth

How tall are you, Beth. I'm 5'1" - and I've been an 18 for a while - now most of the 16s are getting a little big (shocking) and I actually fit into a size 14 skirt today. It was tight, but.....I could wear it in public. Size is so dependent on height, though. And sizes depend so much on the brand. Oh well - still have to try things on. Ruth

WTG on the 14 skirt! I haven't tried any bottoms smaller than a 16 yet, actually I think the smallest item I own is a size 15 "juniors" pair of pants, which I love the style of, so I may try juniors again... as long as I can fold myself into the bottoms and zip and button!! :-X I'd love to be THIS weight on a taller frame, wow! Height is everything, I agree! Beth 58 to go!

Size does depend on height and bone structure. I am 5'7 and weigh 210....I am in a size 14, most of the 16's are now too big..... No one can believe I weigh 210, but the scale doesn't lie.....I have always been "heavy" even when I was thin......As a teen and in my early 20's I could always fool the guy at the carnival who guessed weights.... I would lOVE to weigh 150 lbs and be back in size 7-9's but I am not sure I will get that low...but only time will tell. ON the new clothes idea....buying new clothes gives me such a rush and makes me feel good about my weight loss AND gives me a boost....I highly recommend it. RAE

Hi Beth, Your transformation is wonderful! I love your new picture (I know I've said it before...but you look amazing!) I also think your profile page is beautiful. Anyway, your profile didn't say your height either. I'm somewhere in that range (I think...base on my last weigh in) and I'm in 14 or 16 bottoms and Large (some times xl tops). I'm 5'4". I'm pretty lucky, because I have clothes all the way down to size 12 boxed and ready to be opened. We also have a lot of OH get togethers in my area were we have clothing exchanges. Plus I work for a clothing catalog company...I'm set! Good luck finding a look you like! Rachel

Thanks so much, Rachel, and FWIW- you are glowing in your new pic. I'm just about 5 foot 5 inches. So I'm probably close to your size... I do have a lot more extra baggage though, since I started off pre-surgery date at 313 or more. I think I just need to go and try stuff on to get a sense of fit. I'm wearing a pair of "Hanes Her Way" sport pants today, in an 18, and they fall off. I've been folding them over at the waistband, two and three times to keep them up over my feet... The matching top is a 14/16 and it's okay, but I've been liking things more fitting, lately.. I'm guessing I'd fit in a normal 14/16 on bottom and a 12/14 on top... I guess I'm gonna have to check! I just dread wasting money, you know!? P.S. Does your company have an online shop? Beth CW- 188, down 125 and counting!!

Beth, I am 5'8, weigh 193lbs and I am wearing a comfortable size 14. I found that size 16 is to big and 14's are starting to hang in my crotch also. I am OK with being here for a while. I actually kind of went from an 18 into a 14, only was a true 16 for maybe two weeks. By the time I weigh 175 (God Willing) I would think i would be wearing a 10-12. I hope this helps. Lori- Thanks... see I need a few more inches! I did go to the store today and try on some pants. I first tried on a pair of size 14 Levis', they went on, zipped and buttoned! Alas, they were a bit too low and tight, so I skipped them, I didn't want to waste $25 on something that I won't wear for long, KWIM? But, they went on! That hasn't happened since 9th grade Then, I tried a pair of size 15 juniors low-rise cordouroys...and they fit! They're PINK! I bought them. Also, I tried a pair of size 17 juniors boot cut dress pants, which are a bit big, but they were on clearance, and $9 was a good deal. I also got two 3/4 sleeve sweaters, in regular large (12-14?) size. I then found a couple of bra and panty sets on clearance for $6, in 38B's .. and that will hold me over for a while... So- I guess I'm a 15 on bottom, and a 12-14 on top. Beth -125
