Good Morning Donna, Congrats on your status of loss. I am also on a major slowdown. I actually am in the middle of a bounce. So, I am down 80 postop (up from 85). It's a bit frustrating, but I know what to do - drink, exercise, up the protein, lower the carbs, and wait it out. I am in physical therapy for my back spasms - right now my left leg hurts like a muthah! Yesterday for the first time I had a problem with my multivitamin. I had never experienced this before, but I actually vomited my viatamins. That was strange. Emotionally, life is good here in the 4th month of post-op living. Seems to be old hat at this point. I have had my first pangs of missing sweets this past week. I haven't tested with sugar and have no intention of doing so. I did eat a lot of watermelon this past week however and am fairly positive that it contributed to my bounce. I can't wait for my vacation (Starting Wednesday, I'm California bound for 2 weeks!) Anyway all in all good, ~Lara Lap RNY-Distal 4/1/04 400/355 day of surgery/275 today/Goal of 260

Hello all my April WLS friends! I am 58 pounds lighter and feeling great. I seem to hit a plateau every month right before Aunt Flow visits so I hope to see some pounds come off next week. I did have more carbs this last weekend than I have had in 3 months. No dumping problems but a little guilt. Phyllis

First of all, congrats to all on the weight loss ... ANY loss is great! My surgery was 4/12/04 ... as of today I've lost 97 pounds!!! woohoo!! And, as someone said, the amount you have to lose certainly seems to dictate the speed at which one loses ... I'm at a weight that I had maintained for several years ... so I'm probably facing a plateau ... which is okay ... It'll give the body and mind time to catch up with each other ... Have my 4-month follow-up on 8/19/04 ... anxious to have bloodwork checked for vitamins, diabetes check-up, etc. Keep up the great work, fellow April-ers! Nancy 353/256/170

Well, I thought I would throw my stats in....started @346 on 4/16/04, and am currently @254...so a total of 92 lbs. Am exhausted all the time, losing hair by the bucketful, and seem to bruise very easy. Had bloodwork done, and the only thing that was off was my albumin was low. Great job everyone!!!

Kelly, You are doing great! I weighed 339lbs so of course it will come off faster than someone smaller. There are days it feels like it will never come off but.. we are getting smaller. Congrats on your 58lb loss.
