OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Yesssssssssssssssssssssss I can relate to this problem................ My hair is falling out in hand fulls.... I even sought the help of a dermatologist. He told me it was related to several weight-loss attempts prior to surgery, having a baby, being on depo in the past, gall bladder surgery, and now weight loss surgery. The doctor told me to get women's Rogaine and begin taking it now. He told me that it could take up to 4-8 months to see new hair growth....ugh!! I have also increase my biotin to 5,000mg. I also take 1 Zinc a day, and I just started taking B12. All of these things have been recommended. I do take a regular multi-vitamin daily as all of do after surgery. Kellie if you hear any other things to try please post it. Thanks Cheri

my nutritionist suggested Nourishair by GNC, i bought some about 3 weeks ago, they are big pills and you take 2 a day. havent noticed a tremendous difference yet, but they say it takes a month or so to notice results.. they are only 9.99 for a month supply.

Oh my, yes! I'm seeing my doctor on Thursday, and you can bet that is one of the many questions I am going to ask! Let me know if any of you get it figured out! Peg

Hi all. I just started to lose hair. From what I understood, reading message boards of Jan, Feb, March 2004, there is nothing you can do about it. Just to wait. Good luck. Ira

There is nothing you can do, this happens to everyone. your body has undergone a great strain. just make sure you are taking your vitamins, getting your protein, drink your fluids and if you want, some Zinc. Donna

Kellie, I have heard of quite a few rememdies, but I've never heard of one that really works. I also heard a statistic that 85% of wls'ers experience hair loss, so you're in good company. (Mines coming out by the fist fulls). But I've heard it only lasts about 3 months and then starts to grow back.

I have REALLY thin hair already! But, I have noticed some thinner spots! I was told to pick up some biotin at wal-mart. I hope it helps. I have switched to a shampoo that is supposed to make your hair look thicker. Seems to be working! Trina

My hair has been coming out by the handfuls for a couple of weeks now. It doesn't look thinner overall yet but I'm sure that will happen. There is a shampoo and scalp treatment called Nioxin that you can buy at beauty salons. I got mine at the salon inside our super Wal-Mart. It is supposed to help. I figured, it can't hurt and I have to wash my hair anyway, so I'll use it. Good Luck! Ronda

My hair has been falling out in huge disgusting clumps. I've been using Nioxin shampoo and also started taking biotin, but neither remedies are helping. I think this is just one of those things we have to wait out.....and eventually it will start growing back. Shelli
