Hair Loss? How Many April-ers are losing it?

I just started losing a little of mine and I had surgery on 4/19. Just curious how many others there are? MG -62 lbs!

yep, mine too.. I'm trying the shampoo and conditioner Nioxin that someone suggested, not sure if it's helping but it's worth a shot for me.. i just want it to hold out until after July 24th (my sisters wedding, and i'm maid of honor) after that, i dont really care!! lol ~Kim

Wow, Lara, I saw your stats and nearly passed out. I thought that you had lost all that weight since April! I was really going to feel like a slow loser! You are doing fantastically, as are all the ladies who posted. I'm sorry we are beginning to lose hair, but I knew that going in. I just cut mine off so that I wouldn't have to look at the 15 inch strands floating in the tub.

LOL! I usually try to post pre-op and post op loss separate, so as not to ruffle any feathers or make anyone feel bad about their loss, but I forgot to do that this time. Sorry to make you almost lose consciousness =) I totally expected the hairloss, that's why I started growing my hair out so I could make it more fluffy as it falls out. Yep... My hair is falling out in large comb fulls.... I am terrible concern over this... I have very long hair, and it is becoming extremely thin around the crown area. I have scheduled an appt to have my hair cut next week. I am going real short, which it has been years since I wore short hair. I have heard people say short hair looks great on women over 40, and that is me!! Wish me luck!! Cheri

MY RYN WAS APRIL 19, 2004 AND I AM 40 LBS DOWN. I USED NIOXON SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER AND MORE CAME OUT. I HAVE LONG HAIR AND MAY LOOK AT PAYING FOR EXTENSIONS, AFTER IT STOPS COMMING OUT. I AM 53 AND LIKE MY HAIR LONG IT TAKES MANY YEARS TO GROWN IT BACK. SOMEONE SUGGESTED ROGAIN FOR WOMAN. BUT PHARMIST SAID WHEN YOU STOP USING IT. IT COMES BACK OUT. ANYONE KNOW ABOUT BOTIN OR SOMETHING SIMILAR OR EVEN PRENATAL VITAMINS. THANKS VANE JOAN

I am not seeing alot of hair loss. I started taking GNC hair, skin and nails vitamins (main ingredient is Biotin 2500mcg -- plus other vitamins) and I think that is helping. I am also doing protein, protein, protein. Maybe this would help some of you.....we April's gotta stick together!! Jackie K.

I haven't had any hair loss, I'm doing 80-90 grams of protien a day, taking 1000 B12, Calcium, Iron and Centrum. Make sure you are getting your protien. Dianne
