Hey April 27 folks we missed it!
Yea for April 27th! The start of our new lives. I am feeling great i walk 2 or more miles at least 5 days a week and go to Curves 3 times a week. I have lost 35 pounds, which, while not as much as some have lost at the 2 month mark, I'm happy with. I am eating most foods and getting my water and protein in most days. I still drink 2 protein drinks a day to make sure I get my protein in. I've been eating some things I shouldn't also. Last week I ate some black licorice. Have never really liked it but someone at work had some and it really called my name. Also we had people over last night and one of them brpought some potato chips and i ate some. So we all have our days. How is everyone else doing?
Hi Rachel,
Shame on you, but I must admit I have been eating and craving everything but trying to stay away from the sugar. I wish I could do better with the carbs. I am down 44lbs now since surgery what a good feeling. I did receive your email, I was going to give you a call. Enough of that lets get with the program so that we can accomplish this mission we have to complete our goal in a timely manner. I would like to be at goal weight before 10-04 going on a cruise and I gotta look good. ( smile)
I know it's hard but we have to support each other.
Hugs,
Tee
Hi to everyone. I am down 40 pounds (I weight in tonight at TOPS) so am hoping for another couple of pounds. I am doing protein drinks twice/day and am also drinking Carb Countdown Chocolate milk over ice (3 grams sugar/0 fat/12 grams protein) as my nighttime snack. I am really craving foods right now big time. When I let my tummy empty of water, I really get hungry and it's not in my head. I'm down from a 24/26 pant to an 20 and 2X shirts to XL shirts. I should be in an 18 in the next couple of weeks. I can get them up but they're really tight. Can't wait. Unfortunately I"m not doing as well in the exercise department. Between working full time, having a 5 year old and landscaping a new house, I'm "active" but not doing exercises.
A couple of things I do to help with wanting to eat is eat string cheese and crackers/cheese. I buy those little packaged ones and they are 80 calories, 9 carbs, 4 grams fat and 2 grams sugar, 2 grams protein. Not too bad a snack for when I'm hungry.
Keep up the good work everyone and if you slip one day, tell yourself "that's okay, cause I'll do better next time."

Robin, Keeping my pouch full of water really helps (it blows my mind tha****er can make me feel full...but I'll take it).
My exercise took a back seat for the last two weeks becasue my mum in law was visiting. Back to it this week.
My support group leader said it best. You don't have to wait till Monday to start your diet over, make the decision to eat better at that very moment! Done!
Take care,
rachel
We're 9 weeks now! I'm a slow loser, but at least I'm a loser, right? I'm down 38.5 lbs. I see it more in inches though...down 5" on my chest, 5" on my waist, 1" on my neck, 2.25" on each arm, 2" on each thigh, 3.5" on my hips.
I was a size 24/26 on top, 22/24 on the bottom before surgery. Now I'm buying 18/20 on top, and 16/18/20 on the bottom, depending on style and brand!
I've gotten lax about the protein drinks, but am making a serious attempt to get back at it this week. Trying to do better with my water, too. I go to the fitness club a few times a week. My husband, 4.5 yr old son and I all bought bikes this week -- we're all trying to get more active!
