Hi Rachel... i tried something new as i'm in the same boat as you with eating fast.. this is going to sound silly, but my meals that i eat at home, i keep in the kitchen, i dont sit down to eat anymore. i cook my food and put it on a plate, have a bite and walk away, go do laundry, watch tv, come back, have another bite.. until the plate is pretty much gone, or i'm satisfied that i ate enough. i also warm it up in the microwave before each bite, i live alone so i dont have sit down meals with family or anything, this works out best for me. while i'm at work i bring a big protein bar.. take a bite everytime i go towards my desk area. i even cut it into little pieces. lots of luck and let me know if you come up with a better idea! ~Kim

Hi Kim, I think that's a great idea. I keep saying I'm going to do it (for everything except dinner...I want to eat with the kids), but I never do. I still have this desire to feel really full. I don't feel like i've eaten unless I'm full. Can someone just scoope that feeling out of my head so I can move on already!!! Guess not huh? Guess I'll have to keep trying. Thanks for the advice, Rachel

Hey Rachel: It usually takes me 20 to 30 mins... to eat, however, it does all depend on what I'm eating... Be encouraged Rachel because your doing fine... I have to admit for me is that once I moved to solid foods, that where I started having more difficulty. My stomach is so sensitive, and If I eat 1 wrong thing... I pay for it, and sometimes I am unable to eat the rest of the day. I have to really evaluated a food, and say, Can my tummy handle it? For example, For a couple of day's I was able to eat tuna with some mayo and crackers.... Several day's later I tried the same items, and was sick and vomitting.... To say the least I have not tried tuna since. Maybe in the future.... I am able to eat fish and salad's...woohooo, but other meats take up too much room or make me feel funny....Good luck on the phase of your eating.... Cheri

Hi Cheri, I'm finding the same thing as I move into solids. And boy, if I forget to chew enough...my stomach takes seconds to let me know. Its all trial and error. It hasn't been too bad though. Its kinda like have a new toy. Now I just have to figure out what it does. Good luck to you to! Rachel

Hey, I take at the very least 30 min. to eat, if I don't I am in the bathroom so fast. My pouch will have nothing to do with eating fast...So I use my utensil, put it down, talk or watch tv or read a book or call a friend on the phone etc. I do NOT re-heat only because it zap the moistness out of the food and it is too dry and then my pouch protests again. and I have always hated cold food if it is suppose to be hot. I hope this helps. deb

Thanks for the advice Deb. What are you eating? I'm finding I'm forced to eat slower if I'm eating something solid. Rachel
