Its very slow for me. ( im not one to get like this, but if im going to put thousands of dollars down, im expecting this to work as planned) sighs.

Jeanie, you are doing great!..I think personally it has alot to do with how much you weigh in the first place...My surgery was on 4/15 and I have as of today lost 43 lbs...but here is the kicker, your BMI is 40 on your profile...Mine was in the 60's so it makes sense that I would lose a little more than you at this stage (probably alot of fluid)...hang in there..it looks like you are doing just fine!! Hi, Do not worry, you are not alone. My surgery was on 4/6/04. I had BMI before the surgery about 41. Here is my progress: After week 1 I lost 6 lb, after week 2 - 10.5 after week 3 - 15.5 after week 4 - 16.5 after week 5 - 19 after week 6 - 24.6 after week 7 - 30.4 So, as you can see, it's only 16.5lb after 4 weeks. I think it's OK, even great. I had 90LB to lose before the surgery and now only 60lb left. Do what you need to do and do not worry. Everything is going to be fine.

Hi Ira, Looks like you and I had the same BMI, same surgery date, and almost the same weight loss. I've lost 34 so far. I actually want to lose 102 pounds though, I'd be happy with 90, but pushing for the extra 12. It was weird when I read your post. I guess everyone likes to compare, although we really shouldn't cause no two bodies are the same. I feel everyone of us is going to get to goal, just at our own speed

Dont worry!!!! I am out going on two months and I have only lost approx. 30 lbs...Doctor said that is normal because If I weighted more then more would have came off...my pre- BMI was 45 it is now down to 39. So I cant complain!!! My clothes are all getting to big and it enjoy putting them away!!! I just bought more jeans and they are 3 sizes smaller..it will work out TRUST ME...

I read a lot of profiles before my surgery and I noticed folks with lower BMI's tend to lose more slowly. So I expected it. I'm staying off the scale so i don't drive myself crazy. My clothes are already fitting better and I'm off BP meds and no more edema. Yeah! You will keep losing Take care, Rachel

I had surgery on April 12th and I felt the same way. I even called my surgeon's office to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with me. My BMI was 40 at the time of surgery and now it is 34.9. I still think I am losing less then everyone else but take whatever I can. I am on my second plateau right now and can't wait untill it's over. My nurse said not to weigh myself daily and that what I am not losing in pounds might be coming off in inches. I just wish I would've measured myself right before surgery. You are doing great!

Don't Worry!!! I have read alot of the replys to your message and they are all right...people lose the weight at different rates and it has a lot to do with how much you started at. I am 6 weeks post-op and have lost 80 lbs. but I started at 480lbs. I have a long way to go. Look at it this way: Two people at the same height but one weighing 250 and the other 350. Both have the same food/liquid intake. The person weighing 350 is gonna lose faster because thier body has to work harder to do the same things, hence burn more calories, then the person weighing 250. You will be just fine, just hang in there and don't give up. Remember to follow the eating schedule as close as possible, it works. Good Luck To All
