Update, Surgery 4/14/04

Had my surgery and everything went great. Have had no problems and am following Dr.'s eating instructions to the letter. Had two week check up today here is how I have progressed. Pre-op weight 4/2/04 - 266lbs Pre-op waist 42 surgery 4/14/04 post-op weight 4/21/04 - 250lbs waist-40 post-op weight 5/2/04 two week checkup (20 days out) - 233.5 waist- 38 ( four inches in 20 days, not bad )

Congratulations on you loss so far. I am 9 days postop and have not really weighed yet. I know that my waist is bigger than before, I can't getthe pants I wore to the hospital buttoned.

If you're like me, I'm still swollen from the surgery. Your waist will go down. Remember, they cut up your innards and rearranged them like a tossed salad. Just because the outside might be feeling ok, the insides are still mending. My waist is still about the same, but everything else has shrunk. It'll happen soon enough. Enjoy the success of making it through surgery and onto a healthier way of life!!! Liz
