Hey..I've never posted here before but thought I would give it a try...I'm 8 days post-op and feeling pretty good...I'm a little concerned that they didn't make my stomach small enough because I have actually had hunger pains and felt hungry at least twice. I hope I'm wrong and it's just a passing thing. The scale is going in the right direction so I gues I should not worry. I have had no nausea or vomiting and feel truly blessed. I was only in the hospital overnight and have felt pretty good since getting home. Loved my surgeons and the hospital and could not have asked for better. I still feel so nervous that this is not going to work for me and I am not going to lose a significant amount of weight. Is that normal? Thanks for any feedback...Congrats to all who are taking on this challenge and good luck with everything...Let me know if you need a buddy or support...I'm pretty good at that...I live in georgia and my email is [email protected] Toodles.....

hi gina!! congrats on your surgery!! i had my surgery the same day that your did. the amazing thing is that i feel the EXACT same way the you do,it is so wierd--EXACT!! i went for my one week post-op app. yesterday and i have lost 9.5 lbs. not too bad if you ask me. i think that it is just a phase that some people go through. one lady told me that it will go away. stay strong, when those hunger pains strick--drink some water, have a little jello, or have something from your liquids menu (if you have one). hang in there girlfriend--it will all be worth it. concentrate on the scale and not what you mind is telling you. good luck and god bless, brook carcamo

Hi, I live in Alabama and I am one week post op today. My surgery was going to be partial open which would have been about a 3" incision but ended up being about 6" due to scar tissue from a previous surgery. UGH! I am doing pretty good though. I have not felt nauseaus at all. I tried cream of wheat 4 days out, and grits at 5 days.... they did well but i didn't really care for the taste right now. My favorite thing i have tried so far is the sugar free fat free vanilla pudding made with the carb countdown milk. I ventured out with the pudding yesterday and mixed some of the pudding with a sugar free chocolate carnation instant breakfast, also made with the carb countdown milk and let me tell you something..... IT TASTES LIKE A MILK SHAKE! I am able to take 4 oz of the mixed up carnation instant breakfast in the chocolate and then mix about 3 oz of the s/f f/f vanilla pudding with it... mix it up with a spoon and it is a real treat! Let me know how things are going.... Dixie
