Shake Recipes
I noticed everyone keeps asking for protein or shake recipes.. My Doctors office actually gave us a booklet that has a bunch of recipes in it, so here's a few that looked best to me, if anyone is interested in more send me a note and i'll type them all out and sent to you!
Orange Berry Wake Up
1 cup unsweetened oj
1cup unsweetened strawberries
1/2 c cold water
1/4 cup egg-beaters
1/2 cup powdered skim milk
Blend all ingredients, makes 3 cups (2milks, 3 fruits, 2 meat)
Peanut Butter Shake
1/4 cup powdered skim milk 1/2 banana
3 crushed ice cubes 1 tsp. imitation vanilla
1 package artificial sweetner 2 TBS peanut butter
blend powdered skim milk with the milk; add peanut butter and blend until smooth add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. 1 cup
Tropical Refresher
1 banana 1 cup plain, low fat or nonfat yogurt
1 (8oz) can of unsweetened pineapple drained
add all to blender makes 1 serving (8gms of protein in that one)
Protein Shake
2 scoops of chocolate Designer Protein (i hear available at wal-mart, havent checked on this yet)
2/3 cup skim milk
1/2 cup no sugar added low fat ice cream or frozen yogurt
1/2 banana OR 1/2 tsp. instant coffee granules
Combine all ingred. in blender and mix until smooth. 1 serving (34 *yes thirty-four* grams of protein)!!!!!!!!!!
