First I was going on the 7th, then the 21, now the 23rd, or maybe the 3rd of May if I can't get the scope done in time. I'm a little disturbed that things keep showing up on me that requires a specialist. Last week at my preop they did the upper GI.They called Thurs and said I need an endoscope of my stomach. So that had me scrambling to find a Stomach Doctor who can get me in for a office visit and then do the scope all before the 23rd. They also changed the date from the 21st to the 23rd because of needing to have a day where I was the only one he had. But that's why they moved me from the 7th to the 21st. I guess someone messed up and put someone on my 21st. Go figure... So hopefully I won't have any ulcers in my stomach and they can do me on the 23rd. If they find ulcers then I have to wait 6 more weeks.... Can you hear the frustration I'm feeling?

Just hang in there girl, I have been back and forth with this for two years. They need to make sure you will have as easy time as possible. what ever it takes, just roll with it. is my best advise,,,wish I had something better to say I know it is not easy to wait. Best wishes an getting your date set SOON!

I am so sorry you are having to go through this, just try to hang in there. Try to think that everything is done for a reason, and it will happen when its the right date and time. Tammy

Hi Nancy, I agree with the others, I know it is frustrating, I waited 16 months before I finally was able to get my surgery done. But they really have to be sure that all is okay. The way my doctor explained it to me is that when you overweight you body is pushing to its fullest already, so if you have surgery and God forbid something goes wrong, you won't have any thing left in you to fight, for example, an infection. But once you have it done, I know you will be the happest person on earth. You will feel great and do stuff you probably haven't done in years, I know that is what happened to me. So hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Susan

nancy, i'm so sorry that that keeps happening to you. i didn't have my dates changed, thank God, my date was actually changed from 6/4/04 to 4/20/04, so i'm happy. but with all the testing i didn't want to do all of it pre-op b/c i'm like what if i don't get approved. however i begin to see the light b/c they did find something wrong with one of my levels that was very correctable with some prescribed medicine. which i have to take for four months and everything should be fine. so it's kinda good their doing all of the testing and finding out what's wrong so it can be corrected in time before it may be incorrectable. anywhoo, i know that didn't make you feel better, but i do pray everything starts looking up for you. God bless. Moneice
