I am 3 1/2 weeks out, 20 1/2 pounds gone and here are some of the things I ate before and how different I eat now with NO EFFORT. I don't miss anything really and if I do get a craving it goes away as soon as I eat anything. I did snack on about 10 semi-sweet chocolate baking chips the other evening and they went down well...I would have eaten over a cup of them in the past! Before Taco Bell... Nachos Bell Grande, Taco Surpreme, Burrito Surpreme, Medium red Mountain Dew. (Whewww no wonder I was fat) Now Taco Bell...1/2 chicken soft taco, water Before Wendy's...#6 or Spicy Chicken Combo (fries included

Now Wendy's...1/2 baked potato, water (or tea with SweetNLow) Before Home...2 BP&J's with large chocolate milk Now Home...1/2 fold over PB& sugar-free jelly with Tea (S-N-Low) Before WokDelight...Shrimp Lo-Mein, Crap Rangoons(6), EggRoll(1 or 2) Tea Now WokDelight...Chicken Lo-Mein (about 4 good bites with chicken) Tea with S-N-L Before Home...2 or 3 Homemade Biscuits with Gravy and Hash Browns Now Home...scrambled egg 1/2 cup SF Instant Breakfast I also drank (slowly) two Bloody-Mary's one night at the Casino and they went down great and tasted even better! Of course, I never took vitamins before or calcium but now I take a Flintstones chewable, a Tums chewable everyday and I take a Maalox with Anti-Gas when I feel a little bubble pressure. They taste like a candy treat ha! I hope this some newbies an idea of what is POSSIBLY some of the things you can eat after. Pattie

Good Luck with your surgery. I know some women have had more trouble than I have but I know a lot who have had it just as easy. Here's to a speedy recover on your way to the skinny dance!

Thanks for sharing that Patti. I am scheduled for next Tues and I have been having some serious last minute jitters...like, I love food, love to cook and try new things, and what on earth am I thinking of doing to my stomach??? But, what you listed looked like the way other people eat, the ones that I have envied for so long who could have a little bit of something good and then push their plate away. You really helped me feel a little calmer! Thanks again.

Kaylin don't be worried. You are going to be fine and you will not believe how fast the first three weeks go! I am amazed I am in my fourth week! AND you can still cook! I baked some homemade yeast biscuits with gravy for my daughter and her hubby this morning. I ate my "Total" cereal and did not even feel deprived! I still love making cookies for my grandkiddos too! And it is fun too look around in fast food restraints and see others pigging out and realizing that I am NOW eating like a skinny person like the ones you mentioned. PLUS know that THIS time when I lose the weight...it will be gone for good! You keep us posted on your progress and feel free to write anytime you feel you need support! See ya on the skinny side.... Pattie!
