I went to the doctor for the pre-surgery visit (April 15th is my day) and they said they will most likely do an "awake fiberoptic intibation" due to my sleep apnea, I about fell on the floor till they told me they to sedate you first. Has any one else had this?
Dianne
I haven't but I will. I know a few people who have. Most say you are so sedated that it is no big deal. One said she almost gagged when she woke up with it.
Do you have to take your cpap with you to the hospital? I do.
Good luck...I'm the 27th

Yes, they said it is a good idea to take it because respitory therapy may have difficulty fitting me, etc. so it's easier to bring it. I really can't sleep without it. I'm really getting excited now. 5 days. Woo hoo.
