Hallelujah! The fat's gonna go!
I am actually doing great...it is sorta weird. I haven't had any problems or discomfort other than the incision line. I saw the dr. for the first time today since the surgery and I haven't lost a lot, and because of that he is keeping me on clear liquids another week. I honestly think it is his scale. I saw my PCP last week and his scale showed a -28lb loss, but my surgeon's scale only showed a -7lb loss. Woe is me...I could really use something different than protein drinks, jello, and broth. How is your quantity doing...I can get in 4oz with out a problem and have pretty much kept it there. Has your dr moved you up to food?

Well, I had my 2-week checkup last Thursday. (Today is my 3 wk-post-op anniversary and yours too, huh?) I had lost 17 lbs. Not as much as I had hoped. I have dumped once, the day I went to the doctor. The doctor gave me a B12 shot and prescribed Vitamin D (not supplements) as I was low on those vitamins before surgery. I was feeling weak and tired all the time.
I had bought this protein drink and it obviously had sugar in it. I had had one before, but I must have told them to omit the sugar. Anyway, I was nauseated and had diarrhea (?) for about 4 hours. I was miserable.
I have experienced some gas 2 different times. That's also very uncomfortable.
At least I've had more good days than bad!
I attended the obesityhelp.com convention in Arlington, TX. It was very enlightening and I feel like I came home with some new ideas and a confirmation that I did the right thing.
I am eating tuna salad a few crackers, as I type. It went down well before, so I'm hoping it will this time, as well.
Good luck to you.
Sandy
