I got a date

Hi, I have only been useing this site for a very short time and already so thankful for it. My surgery date in 4-29-04. I wanted to ask if anyone had to have a blood transfusion during surgery? My Dr. talked to me about it and because I don't except blood transfusions I have to have a filter put in my artary in case of a blood clot because they won't be giving me the amount blood thinner they they useally give. Can anyone talk to me about this- Thanks
