DID anyone go on a cruise 7 weeks POST OP???

HI all- Hubs has a cruise scheduled 7 weeks after Lap Gastric bypass..while I know I will be on soft foods, a friend ( who had surgery 4 years ago) said she saw no problem as the cruises have cottage cheese, cheeses, soups nightly etc..she told me to take the small blender and do my protein shake in the room and carry it around all day in an insulated glass... Does anyone have any views on whether this is doeable? HELP- final payment is DUE next week and my surgery is in MAY... thanks Andy
