I have a date! April 2. I have a question that may seem strange though, I had a C Section in Aug 2001 with a vertical incision that got infected and I had to heal with an "open" wound. That healed ok but now it seems that right next to the incision below my bellybutton and to the left of it is some kind of "fatty deposit" or maybe some scar tissue built up. If I push my stomach out or cough or laugh is seems like this "mass" pushes out and I can pu**** back in with my hand if I push on it. It has no pain at all but I wondered if anyone else has had this and if you could tell me if it will interfere with my surgery??? Or if it could be a hernia of somekind like my intestines pushing through, I don't think so since it's so close to the top of my skin? Any one have any ideas ? ? I am so paranoid I will not be able to have my surgery! help!

Hi sheri, My name is Bonita and I to have had a ceserian in 2001. My ceserian was done vertical twice. Also I have a pouch on the right side. Mine is a hernia which I had before my two children. My surgery date is April 7th, my DR says he does not know if he will be able to perform the surgery until he opens me up to see how many adhesions I have inside from the surgeries previous. Well sheri don't worry because I'm sure If it was a hernia that doctor would have found it when he examined you. Good luck with everything. If you want to talk further my e-mail address is [email protected]

Your surgeon should be able to fix the hernia too, but you need to let him know ahead of time. I would call his nurse and discuss the situation. A hernia would be close to the skin. Good luck, and call your surgeon. Eileen
