Anesthesia question

I am scheduled for my WLS on April 15th 2004.My insurance United Health Care PPO is covering the operation but the Anesthesia group for Mills Pennusula Hosp. in Burlingame Ca. does not contract with my insurance company. Im being told this is quite common. My question is has any one experienced this and if so how much out of pocket cash is involved. My co-pay for the operation is already 1500.00 plus what ever the Anesthesia will cost.

My husband had surgery and the anesthesia was not contracted either. I kept saying oh! this is great! the only anesthesiologist in this hospital what do you us to do have surgery while you are a wake. HAHA! Anyway, my point is that the anesthesiologists let me make payments. His surgery was for his tonsils to be removed.
