After a long hard road, and a year and a half of red tape, I'm finally scheduled. I'm not scared--I sailed through an open hysterectomy last year--but I'm a little sad about giving up caffeine & diet pop. It'll be worth it, though, if I can get rid of this extra 112 lbs.

Congradulations on getting a date ... We share the same date. Yes there is a lot of things that you give up but yes.. in the end it will be worth it. I'm praying for you that you have a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery!

Thanks! I'll be praying for you, too. I really feel good about this decision. My family, who were initially against the surgery, are starting to be supportive. My husband has been wonderful. Good luck, and thans for your support.
