HAPPY RE_BIRTHDAY TO ME X2!!!!!!
It is hard to beleive that Sunday is my two year anniversary.
WOW!!!! I have not made my goal of 190. Actually I have lost and gained the same 15 pounds since last August. Still rocking 16's and look damn good doing it. I am still contemplating Plastic surgery, but have not made up my mind just yet.I had the money to do it last month and went shopping instead.
( guess you know here my priorities are)
My career is going well, my kids are doing great, I am dating a new man that I am really feeling, I am one semester away from my MA, and I am healthy.
I will still strive for another 30 pound lose, but if it doesn't happen I wont cry. I still remember where I came from, so I cannot be dissappointed in where I am now. I know that my surgeon did not make my pouch as small as the normal RNY, but I am not mad. He still helped to save me from a very miserable existence. And I will always be grateful.
In summary,
2 years and I am HAPPY, HEALTHY, LOVED, RESPECTED, and ADMIRED!
If I threw RICH in there , I wouldn't be able to live with myself. LOL...Too bad
I will post new pictures soon.
PS Even though I have not posted in awhile I am still on the boards everyday...I am a lurker now, but I am here...so feel free to email me.

Topic: RE: What Do You Think, Was it Worth It?
It sure was worth it!!! I can't say enough about how great it is. I have lost 104 lbs and I am where I want to be. I do worry that I might gain. I can eat sugar but it gives me terrible gas. It really hurts so I don't eat it. I have more trouble with my bowels than my pouch. I don't drink soda or drink milk. But I eat pretty much what ever I want to eat. I'm in a size 6 -8 and it is wonderful. Never been there in my life. I'm 58 and I take ballet and I am now dancing on pointe and taking piano. I have a whole new lease on life. I do get the shakes though periodically but have no idea why. I make sure I eat something and it will go away. Wish I knew why it did it though. Would I do it a again. Sure would in a heart beat!!

You had your surgery the same day as me. It's discouraging, but the docs should be able to help shore up the banding I hope. Let's do it one bite at a time.

Topic: RE: Sagging Skin
I'm so glad to have happened upon this site. The answer of looking like a sharpea(sp) really made me laugh. I'm there too, with just a 70 pound weightloss. Surgery was 4/7/03. I'm eating too much starch (crackers, pita crisps, anything crunchy). My doc told me I was a carboholic. I think starchaholic is a better word. Why do these old cravings come back? I'm not really good with "real" food. Too dense I think. But then, maybe that's what I'm supposed to feel in this new stomach. Daaaaaaaa, me!
