Topic: Problem with vomiting
Hi, Please let me know if anyone is having a problem with throwing up. I am 4 months and 2 week out and I have a problem with vomiting. Once I eat a meal or a snack about 2 hours later I can't stand the feeling in my stomach and I have to force myself to throw up. I have doing this but afterwards I feel so much better. My Dr. says it may be due to some swelling and possibly overeating. Anyone else having this same issue. I am pleased with the weight loss at this time 94 lbs and losing. Please respond... Thanks Patty D

Hi Gail, I am 4 months and 3 weeks out and I still have a problem with red meat. I seem to tolorate chicken the best. I find that the red meat is very hard to digest and I would rather pass. My only worry is the PROTEIN...I eat a lot of eggs and cheese to make up for the red meat loss. Good luck and keep trying the meat... Patty D

Topic: RE: Hair loss is getting quite evident; eye glasses
Hi Patti, I'm glad you mentioned the hair loss, I am 4 months post op and I am starting to lose my hair too. I also have very thick hair but it is a very scary thing to lose as much as I am losing. But the weight loss is worth it. I'm down 94 lbs and loving every minute of it. Hang in there I'm sure it will grow back. Make sure to increase the PROTEIN.. Thanks, Patty D

Hey Eric.. 80 lbs is a great loss....Can you tell me how much protein you are getting in? If walking doesn't do it..try something else...I find weight training the best option for me...and thats 40 minutes a day... hugs Karol

Hi Gail, I have found meat to not be too much of a problem, I can keep it down, it is just making myself eat it. I find that at times the thought of it makes my stomach turn Good Luck...April

Topic: Meat... Any Problems?
It's been 4 months for me and I seem to have a big problem keeping meat down. I thought by now I would be able to tolerate it more. I know that everyone is different in how they tolerate certain things, but I was just curious to see how many people at this stage are having a problem keeping down meat.

Topic: RE: Am I losing slower than normal?
I think it depends on what weight you start at. I started at 250 lbs and I have lost a total of 67 lbs. I thought that was slow also considering that my best friend had lost over 100 lbs by that time. She also started at a weight of 373 lbs. I also think everyone is different. Some lose it fast, some lose it slow, we just have to rely on what nature wants us to lose. I go for weeks at a time without losing anything and then all of a sudden I have lost 5 - 10 lbs. So don't worry about it... The rate you are losing at is meant for you!!!
