Hi all, Can't believe the time went so fast. I started out at 227 (with my shoes on being weighed in???). I'm now down 70 + to 152. Feeling great. Getting my mind straighted out regarding carbs. For the first six months, weight came off no matter how many carbs I ate (that's mostly all that would digest, except the protein drinks). Now I have to respect the fact that my honeymoon with them is over. Anyone out there hooked on the starches? Why is it that the craving for a Cheeto is so much more than for a piece of fruit or celery. lol Happy days for us "older" gals and guys. Marilyn Ricard

My 1 year anniversary was 4/2 I have lost about 100 lbs. started out at 270 lost about 5 lbs prior to surgery and 95 since surgery, I have had a hard time with the carb demon also. But I have been trying to tell myself that I can have some carbs . I still have 20# to get to my personal goal of 150#. I have been able to go off of most of my meds for Type 2 diabetes, and blood pressure. I still take inhalers for asthma and my thyroid meds ,but I expect I will always have to take those no matter what I weigh. I have gained a new lease on life much more energy for my husband and grandson. I would do it all over tomorrow if I had to.
