Slow weight loss
I am six months post op and have only lost 68 which I think is very slow. I seem to fight being hungry all the time. I am snacking with fruit at least twice a day. Does anyone else seem to be fighting hunger??? I also seem to have many weeks that I do not change in weight at all. Please give me suggestions. thanks in advance
I too am hungry all the time. I don't know if it is not enough water. They say that hunger pains could be just your body telling you that you don't have enough fluids. I am trying to increase consumption before I eat another bite. My surgeon tells me that if I get to a standstill in weight loss that I am probably not eating enough. So, increasing water and food intake might get your body going again. It seems to work for me. I too will lose one week and not lose again for a couple. I kinda like this because it gives the body time to adjust to the new weight loss. 68 pounds gone forever is quite an accomplishment. Don't beat yourself up for not losing enough and concentrate and congratulate yourself on such a fine job you are doing. What couldn't you do 68 pounds ago that you can do now? I bet that list is long and growing each day. Pat yourself on the back, you have come a long way baby!

Kristi, don't be so hard on your self! I think you're doing fabulous!! Your loosing and that's all that matters! Just think in six more months how much more you'll be down!! I'm just thankful that I'm loosing and I try not to get to caught up in other people numbers.
Take care, and God Bless,

Kristi,
Yes it's me. Tater Tot. Think back a year ago, were you dieting and how much weight did you loose. Are you gaining weight, or are you slowly loosing weight. Many people loose weight at a different rate due to the amound of weight they need to loose. My weight loss has slowed down greatly. I may only loose 1 or 2 lbs in a week or two now. That was discourging to me at first until I thought about it and it finally hit me that I HAVE LOST 1 LB. I didn't gain it but lost it. Then the next week I lost another lb. And again I thought to myself that I had lost a lb not gained a lb. If I didn't have the surgery where would I be? I would still be gaining the weight. I am so thankful that we had the surgery and are doing well. If we loose a pound a week or two weeks it's better than being where we were and still gaining weight. Don't be so hard on yourself and give yourself credit wher credit is due. You are doing great and you are taking care of yourself.
Have a great week and see you at the meeting this month.
Love,
Tater
Kristi- I do know that if you have more protein than carbs, etc, you will feel fuller for a longer amount of time. A little chicken or fish, an egg, or even a handful of nuts(chewed very well) will definately suppres your appetite. Also, water intake(which, I have to admit, is my weakness) has everything to do with hunger.
Look up "pouch rules for dummies" on google or another search engine, and it explains a lot we can do to FEEL FULL.
God bless you, merry CHRISTmas!
