HI Eliz, This is Gwyn Nevils in Kansas City, Kansas. It appears you and I are on the same road. I too am 53 years old and a Sistah. I had my surgery on June 9, 2003 (Open Rny) I am doing great. However, I have lost 40 lbs. My start weight was 254 and now I am 214. Don't know if that is slow or not, but it is coming off and that good for me.
