Just wondering...
You are right on target. I had my wls on 4/21 and I have lost 53 pounds as of today! Most of the ones that lose more fast are usually carrying alot more weight. I started out at 278 pounds. Keep up the good work and just remember when you hit a platue, you can still lose inches. Best of luck to you!!!
Rita:
I had surgery on 4/22 and have lost 43# and 45 inches. Your ahead of me. Watch the weight of people that lose faster most of the time they probably have more to lose. I had 119# to lose at the beginning and considered a light weight. I will get there but need to be patient. I have never lost this much in such a short amount of time. Hang in there, remember it won't come back! Hugs: Barbara
it would be amuch better gauge if we all
1. stated where we began
2. gave our age
3. gave our height
4. do we exercise
5. personal goal
then maybe we could just accept our own PROGRESS and not worry so much how others are doing.
me;
open ryn, 4/8/03
started at 226, age 52, 5'3", now 13 weeks out for a loss of 50 pounds(176),

keep losing!

Rita it sounds like we are all doing about the same. I had surgery on 4/9 and have lost around 60 pounds. It goes up and down and I have found that the last week or so I have lost none. I know I am going to have to start exercising more now and hopefully that will start me back to losing. I weighed 240 when I started so I guess we are all doing pretty good. Good luck to you!
I had ine 4/22/03 and I'm down 36 lbs, my friend had her's the week before and she's 57 lbs! Don't be discouraged. You are doing incredible! Everyone is differnet and I wish I could say I'm down 50 something like the rest of the world but for me it's not happening. My "problem" according to my Dr. is that I'm only 4'11" and I only need about 1200 calories a day to begin with, and eating about 800 to 900 calories a day doesn't let me lose like someone that is 5'5" or more. It's just going to be a slower journey for me.
