Hi!! I had surgery on April 23rd and weighed 308 at the time of surgery. I have since lost 51lbs. which has brought my weight down to 257lbs. and it feels incredible!! I never thought that I could ever feel this good about myself again. It's amazing the effect that weightloss can have on your self-esteem. I know that I haven't been on this journey for all that long and I still have a ways to go but, now it doesn't seem impossible. That in itself gives me great hope that I will make it through. It's been tough, but I can feel myself getting stronger and I know that I will make it. Thanks, for reading!! Sincerely, Lucy 308/257/??? Open VBG 04/23/03

GOOD FOR YOU, Lucy!!! I know what you mean -- it's like you almost don't realize how bad you feel (emotionally and physically****il that weight starts dropping off! My self-esteem is so much better than it was 45 lbs. ago, not to mention my energy level!!! I just love it. Continued success to you!

Congratulations to everyone with their successful weight loss!! I need a little support here - Lap RNY Surgery date was April 2, 2003 and it seems like everyone around me is melting away and I am struggling to lose the weight. I am down 49 lbs so far, but everyone else seems to be losing more in less time!! I feel like I am doing everything right, eating protein, drinking water, exercising regularly, I cannot imagine what's going on! I am getting super frustrated! My husband had surgery March 5 (only 4 weeks ahead of me) and he's down 91 lbs!!! If one more person tells me men lose it faster, I'll SCREAM! Thanks for letting me "vent" TARA

Everyone is different i read all the postings and people are all upset about others loosing faster or not loosing enough look at it this way if you have lost 20 50 or 100 lbs always remember where you started off at and the difficult journey you have come through to get this far stress is a huge factor in weight loss just don't be so critical step away from the scale drink plenty of water and exercise i promise if you are not obsessed with checking your weight before you know it you will loose more i don't have a scale i refuse so the only time i get weighed is when i go to the Drs. office i wish everyone the best in this journey we all have taken for life
