I'm Well on My Way....
Hi y'all from rainy VA. I had my surgery (RNY) on April 8th and as of this morning I'm down 45 pounds. That's 45 pounds that I'll never see in this lifetime again! Words can't describe how I'm feeling about the "new me". And it still amazes me how the world looks at me now - so different. I've been married for almost 33 years, and it's better than ever. He's been the most incrediblly supportive person - I don't think I could have done this without him! For those of you still pre-op, hang in there. I absolutely guarantee that it's worth the struggle!!!
Hi Deby!
Congratulations on the 45# lost! You said you had been married for almost 33years. I was wondering your age if you don't mind me asking. I'm 58 and waiting for a surgery date but feeling very anxious about my age and having it done. I have had so much frustration (not with insurance) communicating with the Dr.'s secretary and getting a date. I've completed all requirements and my surgery was approved over 6 months ago!
Your surgery date was the day before my 37th wedding anniversary - Yeah for April !
Take good care.
Ellen
