HEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOO!!
Hi Everyone! I had my surgery on teh 28th. THings are going. My stomach locks up on fluid. It doesn't mater the temp. Broth isn't that bad but protein water, water or anything else isn't great! I am having a little of a rough time. I hope to find some support and get through till I can chew. I miss chewing!
I am in Panama City, FL. Hope to hear from someone soon!

Hello Melissa! I had my surgery April 24 and I was on liquids for 2 weeks then soft Protein foods blended or chewed very well. I'm doing great so far so don't give up things will get better. Today is the first day that I feel sick and it is inside gas, like cramps. I haven't walked in a few days and I'm sure that doesn't help matters. Good Luck and God Bless! Just think in a few weeks you will be thinner! Betty
HI Melissa,
I had my surgery on April 14 and I can relate to you. I get scared trying to eat anything solid. I started taking my time and now the food seems to settle better. Be patient, keep trying. It will pass. I'm down 36 lbs in 5 weeks. Keep up the good work. chew chew chew. a little at time. You'll get through it.
Hi Melissa,
I love Panama City! Anyway, I hope you are doing better. I still have some trouble tolerated cold drinks but I have always loved them. With time and patience, your new stomach will tolerate them also. I am over 8 weeks out now and am on regular food. Small but regular. Take your time eating and drinking. Good luck.

My problem areas are bread and pasty foods. Tried green peas not long ago---Disaster!! Guess we all find goofy food problems. My strangest "problem" is a sensation of being nauseated just at the thought of some foods I used to like!
Hope you're doing well--my surgery was on the 29th in P.C. (Dr. T)

Hi Melissa: I had surgery on the 1st of April. My surgeon was very strict on what, when and how much to eat and drink...he progresses his patients over a much longer period of time. From what I've read and heard from other WLS patients this seems to be the key to success. I wish you the best...let us know how you are doing. Jim
Hi Melissa,
I had my surgery on April 11th and I am doing fine now.
I have noticed that if I drink to fast or to much after eating I go in lock down mode also. And I am in such discomfort that I will throw it up. But lately I have been doing just fine.
I try to chew my food as long as possible without losing the taste of it. I also cut my food very small.
I started this journey weighing a total of 342 pounds and I am truly happy to say that I weigh 295 beautiful pounds. I haven't stepped on a scale and it read under 300 pounds in years. This means I only have 145 pounds to drop. And I know I can do it.
