10/03/03 I am 18 months post-op and have lost 126lbs and am doing great. I had my hernia "removed" but now am dealing with a Hemitomah. Might need additional surgery to find where this blood is coming from and the fact that I am anemic is of no surprise. Oh well, I could be in worse shape...I feel sooo great otherwise. No more diabetic meds and that includes insulin...Yea...
I feel soooo BLESSED...

Topic: 16 months post op - life has forever changed
Hi
My name is Marianne and I have gotten rid of 126.5 pounds since my surgery on 4/11/2002. I still have about 62 pounds to go until my personal goal weight.
My life has changed so very much - all for the better. I am so much happier and healthier. I am back to riding my horses! I feel so much better about myself too.
Thanks to alot of people, especially Dr. Courcoulas and my family and friends.
I'm looking forward to making my goal weight and continuing on with the other goals I have set in my life.
Topic: 1 year 3 months post-op
Hi! I had my surgery on 4/1/02 and have lost 117lbs so far. This really has changed my life. I have more energy, am more active in my kids lives, have gone back to work part-time and am over-all much happier than I've been in a long time. I'm scheduled for a lower body life and bat-wing removal on Sept. 15th. I'll be so happy to get rid of all this flabby skin. I've been on a platuea since Feb. and am getting frustrated though. I really wanted to be down to 150 before my PS and I'm still about 10-15lbs from there (depending on the time of the month). Any suggestions from those who have met goal? Thanks! Leah

Hey Tina--Congratulations! I am now 1 year and 2 months post op (4-11-02), and I have lost almost 100 lbs. I started at 217, 5' 0"...now I'm wearing a size 6, but I think I could definitely use a 4 in most things with a tummy tuck. It's funny how that skin just doesn't want to go away, huh? Hopefully you are recovering quickly from your tummy tuck--let us know how you're doing, what it was like, etc.!!

I had my surgery in 4/30/02 and I have lost exactly 100lbs and I'm 5'3. I started out at 314lb. I haven't lost anything since my 7th month. My goal was 150 and for some old ball reason I can't make it. Now I'm in the process of getting my insurance to pay for my tummy tuck and breast lift. It's good to hear that other people are doing so well. Good luck on your tummy tuck, lucky dog.
