1 year and 1 month post op
well it has been a little over 1 year since I had my surgery and I have lost 124 pounds and am scheduled to have a tummy tuck on the 21st of may! I know weigh 146 and hope to get down to 135 or so . any ways was just wondering how other people who are about the same post op as me are doing. Started out at 270 pounds 5 ft 4 inces tall.
Tina, I am 1 year and 1 month as well (4-15-02 surgery date) and am down 127. I have only lost a couple lbs in the last couple months, but my clothing sizes keep shrinking, I started at 382. so i still have a little ways to go, now at 255. I am 6ft tall. My personal goal is to be around 180. Even though I am tall, I know I will need a tummy tuck, if I could afford it, I would just have a body lift. I wish you the best of luck with the tummy tuck.

Hi Tina... and congratulations on your weight loss so far. My surgery was 4-1-2002 and I have lost 233lbs to date. I am down to 265 now 15 lbs away from my initial goal of losing 1/2 of myself within a 2 year period. Needless to say, I am fully enjoying the benefits of my suregery to the fullest!! Finally living my life instead of dreading it. Best of luck in your future...

I had my surgery in 4/30/02 and I have lost exactly 100lbs and I'm 5'3. I started out at 314lb. I haven't lost anything since my 7th month. My goal was 150 and for some old ball reason I can't make it. Now I'm in the process of getting my insurance to pay for my tummy tuck and breast lift. It's good to hear that other people are doing so well. Good luck on your tummy tuck, lucky dog.

Hey Tina--Congratulations! I am now 1 year and 2 months post op (4-11-02), and I have lost almost 100 lbs. I started at 217, 5' 0"...now I'm wearing a size 6, but I think I could definitely use a 4 in most things with a tummy tuck. It's funny how that skin just doesn't want to go away, huh? Hopefully you are recovering quickly from your tummy tuck--let us know how you're doing, what it was like, etc.!!

Congrats on your weight loss.. Woooo Hooo.. Dosnt it feel great. I am 1yr and 2 mo post-op. I had my surgery April 1st. 2002 So far I have lost 180 lbs. I started out at 375 I am now down to 195. I am loving life. I have even started a job actually getting out there in the work force something I have never done because of my weight. Its AWSOME. I am ready to loose my extra skin and will be consulting plastic surgeons soon. Keep up the good work hon you are doing GREATTT...!!!!!!
