I had my surgery on March 25 and feel like I'm starving for regular food. So that is not abnormal, I am assuming. Also about the breathing, you should have been given an instrument to strengthen your lungs while you were in the hospital and should have been instructed to continue to use it at home. As far as feeling like a mack truck ran over you, I feel that at different times in a day. I have my up and down moments with all of this. But, I certainly do not regret doing this for my life. It wont bel like this always. You have better days ahead of you. Many people have said to me that," this is the easy way of weight loss surgery." They have no clue, easy is the last thing. A gas reliever should help with that but then again that is normal as well. I am here if ya need but ,I had my surgery after you!
I am new to OH, just want to find support with those with whom had their surgeries this month.
I am 11 days out... It gets better everyday...My first 6 days were crappy.. I don't feel hungry ever, just wanted something solid. I realized I was lactose intolerant all of the sudden... So my hubby got me lactaid milk and that is much better for my gassy stomach. I walked around the house a million laps to help with the gas
I started a couple of tablespoons of yogurt and 1/4 cup of puréed soup yesterday.
March 19th. I was nervous, but I thought ready. I am in pain at times and sore at others, but feel good about my progress for now.
My surgery is on Wednesday (3-26-2014) in Birmingham, AL at St Vincent East with Dr. Les Miles. I am excited, nervous, anxious, and more. I feel like I have been counting down for so long. I started this process back in August. Looking up anything and everything I could find, and finally went to a seminar in December. I can't believe its finally here, I am waiting to wake up from this dream and it not be real, but IT IS!!! :) Right now I am in the "nesting" stage. Getting my house completely ready. Everything perfect. Bills paid, house cleaned and laundry done. I feel like I am preparing for a second baby! HA! Did anyone else go through this or am I just THAT excited? ;)
Hey all! I am home and repairing and ready to go! Well, to be honest not GO go, but feel pretty decent all things considered. Hope you are too!
How are you all doing? I opted to stay a second night at the hospital due to being sore and nauseous and having little ones at home. I feel better this morning and will head home later. Things went well, no complications. I am up walking often and it really helps when trying to get down the protein. I feel the need to burp all the time. Tiny sips! I hope you are all doing well and I wish us all a speedy recovery.
I'm not sure if I'm nervous or just anxious to get started. If I am nervous it's not about the surgery it's about really being able to succeed. I've been this weight for 20 years and this all sounds to good to be true. Are you nervous? Have you told many people that you're having the surgery?
