March 26th!
I just got a call on Monday and my insurance approved my revision from Lapband to Gastric. The doctor's office tried scheduling me for the 19th, but that was just too soon to get everything in order! So I am having my revision done on the 26th... and I'm starting to freak out a bit. I don't think it help that I watched a show in TLC about the aftermath of WLS... aka the skin issue! That part is scarier to me than the bypass, I think.
I have so much faith in my doctor. I have never had second thoughts about his ability or anything or that sort... I am just so nervous because the reason I had the band was that I didn't want my insides rearranged, but then the band slipped.
Is anyone else freaking out? Are there any early March or even February surgeries that can come forward with their recent experience?

RNY on 03/06/12
I HAD MY RNY ON THE 6TH AND I DON'T REGRET WHAT I DID. I COULDN'T BEAR TO HAVE A FOREIGN OBJECT IN MY BODY AND I NEED TO LOSE MORE WEIGHT AND OBESITY RUNS IN MY FAMILY SO MY DOC RECOMMENDED THE GASTRIC BYPASS. I HAD A GREAT SURGEON AND NURSES. I WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF. I AM SORRY YOUR BAND SLIPPED. I'VE HEARD MORE BAD NEWS WITH THE BAND THAN WITH GASTRIC BYPASS, THAT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY DECISION TO HAVE THE BYPASS DONE. I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY ON THE 26TH. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE FOR ME IS TAKING ALL THE VITAMINS BUT I AM NOW USED TO TAKING THEM ON A DAILY BASIS AND IT REALLY ISN'T ALL THAT BAD.
