Topic: RE: Hospital Stay
Oh I thought of something - Women, bring pads! Even if you just got over your monthly, it more than likely will start up again in the hospital I've heard. Must be the trauma or something...
A friend recommended I get a back scratcher as you're in the hospital bed and can't really bend down to scratch your legs or feet, the scratcher will come in handy - I'm going to try to find one now...
Take measurements before you go to the hospital, if you come to a stall the inches might still go down as you're gaining muscle and weight is constant...

Topic: Lap Band March 17th
I didn't even think about it being St. Patty's day when they scheduled me.
My partner is Irish, so I'm hoping it brings me luck. I'll make sure to wear green and kiss a blarney stone before I go into the hospital.
I just wanted to post here and say yay for us class of March 2010 ;)

Topic: RE: Told My Family
I'm sorry that your in-laws aren't being supportive. My mother is also not being overly supportive... her first reaction was "ohhhh noooo Tammy" (yelling into the phone) in the past few months we have fought about it until I told her that I do not want to talk to her about it unless she can be positive and if she can't then I do not want to hear any more negativity from her (that is the last thing any of us need right now!) The thing that I have come to realize is that I am doing this for myself and everyone has their own reason for wanting surgery, as long as you and hubby are happy then that is the only thing that matters.

Why do people have to react like that? It's like we are telling them that we're going to cut both arms off just for the heck of it. Hopefully they'll look back once you reach your goal and realize how horrible they were for not supporting such an awesome procedure that improved your life dramatically :)
