I'm excited to now be a member of the March 2010 surgery dates..... I was an April 2010 member up until 3:30 this afternoon. Another lady who is having surgery with my surgeon wanted to swap dates with someone who had a late April or May date. I was called and I said I would swap dates. So now, instead of 56 days to go, here I sit with 28 days to go. I'm scared and nervous all over again now. I hope that these butterflies go away.

I have to do it for 2 weeks, one week down one to go.
I am getting of the same foods, pudding, jello, protein shakes, applesauce, yougart.
Oh, and oatmeal.
I looked online and the liver reduction diets vary so much in what you are allowed to have.
Some allow protein like lean meat and eggs.
What is yours like?

My surgery date is March 9th as well. I'm doing a 10 day liquid diet now too for liver reduction. Best Wishes!

Insurance approval today! YAY!! March 9th is the day of my "re-birth" as I am having the REALIZE Band!! I have cried for months and wanted this to be done and it is now hard to believe that only 8 days remain!! Please pray for me and give me your support...I am sure there will be times that I need it! I can do this!!

My Doc said same thing. Optifast shrinks the liver makes it easier to do the Surgery.

I am RNY on March 4th...getting excited. Had my last meal tonight as I start the 2 day clear liquid diet tomorrow. I have told my closest family, but not many others, including co-workers. They just know I am taking a few weeks off. My husband has just been wonderful. Good luck to us all!

I'm so excited - it took less than two weeks to be approved. I had just returned from a wonderful vacation to see the notice in the mail. I have yet to talk to the surgeons office but the approval listed a surgery date of March 25th. Now to start planning for the future.

Thanks everyone. I started my pre-op diet today and I am not enjoying it. I will admit that the shakes (Ultimate protein) aren't as bad as I expected.
