March 26th surgery

Anyone having their surgery on March 26th?
I am having mine (sleeve) in Mexico with Dr Joya and I am very nervous already. I am afraid of the surgery and I am hoping that everything will go fine. I am also afraid of the "unknown"......the surgery being in Mexico, but I know that several people here had wonderfull experience.

Please share all your sleeve and Mexico stories with me!

We share the same date! iI am also going to Mexico but I am going to Dr.aceves in Mexicalli. I am a little scared too but I so want this. Sorry I don't have a story to share yet but I bet we are both going to be fine!

we have same procedure, on the same day (both in Mexico)and I see that your goal weight is 150, which is same as mine!
Let's keep in touch w/ each other for support.
Btw, what US state are u in?

I live in New Hampshire. Too bad we are not having surgery in the same place but I would love to keep in touch. I don't have much support at all so this is great! Are you traveling alone to Mexico? I am.... Please keep me posted..

I am traveling with husband. We are leaving MI early tomorrow. Left kids with my sister today and I am very very nervous.
I am hoping everything will go fine....I am very afraid of death...I know, crazy....can't help it.....

Hi Lily,

I understand about the fear of death, I would be lying if I said that it has not crossed my mind.You are not crazy! I think these are normal thoughts. I have had a few surgeries before for other things and it always has crossed my mind. Just keep believing that you will be ok, never knock the power of positive thinking! I will keep you in my thoughts, we will be FINE. Lets keep in touch and we can laugh at how silly we were.

I’m also having my surgery on the 26^th but I am having the bypass in California.

 

How are you both doing, emotionally wise? Right now I am really excited but other times I get really scared and nervous.  Do you both have a support group? Who have you told?

I don't know what to tell you about my feelings. I am SOOOOO looking forward. I would like to do that ASAP so I can start loosing weight right now.
I am not afraid of pain or complications (as long as it's fixable). I am afraid of death.....I know, crazy crazy, but when you have two little ones to think about I guess it's normal.
But aside of that "crazy" fear, I am very happy and can't wait to do it!

I am feeling the same way that you are. I have never been to a support group so I guess you could say this is my support group. I have told my partner of course, 1 friend and my daughters. My 13 year old thinks I am not fat ( I love that about her) and my 25 year old thinks I am crazy to go to Mexico and she is mad.

How about you? Do you have a support group? Have you told many people?

We are gonna be GREAT!
