Hello Everyone,
Surgery is less that 2 weeks away.  Getting a bit nervous, excited and a whole host of other feelings.  Two week diet is happening also.  That is a killer!
How is everyone else doing?

My surgery is March 3 and I just started my liquid diet also. Yes, it's killing me.  On my first day of the diet my boss bought pizza so I sat there drinking my protein drink while smelling pizza half the day.   I am more excited than anything right now.  I am guessing that I will start to get nervous the day before or about the time I walk into the hospital.

I feel your pain.  I am on my 2nd day of the liquid diet. It is hard.

Some tips friends have given me that seem to help:
putting sugar free popicles in a bowl and eating them with a spoon.
Another friend gave me a tip that hot liquids help and he is very right.  As long as I am siping a hot tea I am not craving food.
nother friend told me to eat snowcones so I used my ice shaver and DaVinci sugar free syrup and had that as a snack and it really helped.
And of course don't forget you can have jello.

Best wishes.

Mine is also the 2nd,  I'm getting so scared for the actual surgery, I've never had surgery so it's all new.  I'm so excited tho to get this all done and over with!

I'm not on any pre-op diet.  I was told to just eat high protein and low carb, I almost wish I was on a strict diet, next week I'm really going to try for more of a liquid diet.

Good Luck!

I pack my lunch for work.  Thin sliced bread (homemade at least) with one piece of deli turkey and dijon mustard, carrot sticks, a fruit and maybe some cottage cheese.  Everyone else is eating pizza, wings, italian, chinese and chocolate!  Gah...I can do it, I can do it!!!

I have some jolly ranchers at home that I am going to stick in my pocket for work.  If Im gonna need to have something sweet those are probably the best best.  Better than grabbing a candy bar.  I work in a school so the kiddies are always bringing me in cookies, cupcakes all kinds of stuff.  Lol...I can do this, I can do this!

Talk to you soon =)

You can do it.   At least you are not on a liquid diet.

I have lost 2 pounds since starting the 2 week pre op diet.  Not sure since I started the program how much total I have lost.  That I will find out the 25th.  I am sure it's not a whole lot.

I wonder what the night before surgery is...some sort of bowel prep I would think.  Guess we will find out together.
