That sucks, I would be disappointed too, but hopefully Thursday comes and goes without a hitch. It will be here in no time, hang in there!

Topic: LIVER BIOPSY

I am almost 3 weeks out after having VSG surgery. The surgery went great, no pain, no problem getting up and walking in the recovery room. The one thing I could of done without, was the gas.oh well, Gas x strips work great. Anyway after my surgery my Dr. told me that she didn't like the way my liver looked, so she took a biopsy and the results from pathology have not come back yet. She also told me it was nothing to worry about.

that whatever it is the WLS is the best thing I could do for it. She said it could be the start of Fatty Liver Disease or the start of non alcoholic cirrhosis, either way I'm beside myself with fear. Has anyone else experienced this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I haven't recieved my info yet, should be here Wed or Thurs. The scheduling nurse said that we have no pre-op diet to follow, just the old mag/phosphate the night before. I was shocked but that is what I have heard from others that have already been banded by my surgeon. SO hopefully I wont have to do it.
