Hi there, March 30, for me too. I was requested to do 2 weeks liquid diet by my surgeon, but I volontary decided to do 4 weeks instead. I am getting a little nervous and excited at the same time.

Make space, here I come on March 30 and I just cannot wait to be on the loser's bench!

Take care!

good luck all of you! I remember the day before and I was very excited too.

Remember to take some before pics before you go to the hospital - I was a little nervous, but that took care of it!

We'll be thinking of you,

Lori

Topic: Anyone have problems with Acid??
I've always had GERD/Reflux.  had a pre-op Endoscopy which turned out fine thank goodness.  I am having issues with almost constant acid.  Doesnt matter if or what i consume, it always seems to be there.  My doc wants us to take acid reducers for at least 3 months.  I already take Nexium, doesnt help, upped the dose to x2 a day..still doesnt help.  Tried Zantac....nope.  Now im trying Prilosec.   If this doesnt help i think i may need to call my doc.

anyone else having acid issues?

Topic: RE: Ahhh temptation....
So far i havent had any bad temptations.  Had one brief moment of wanting a slice of cheese pizza, and one fleeting thought of a fish sandwhich..but other than that i really dont have much desire for food (never thought i would say THAT) lol  .      On my first night home i sat and watched 2 of my friends share a pizza....didnt phase me one bit.    I can even sit and watch the FOOD Network on tv and not be bothered.

P.s.  Emily....i am thinking of trying egg salad,  how do you make yours???

Topic: RE: March postops, what you eating?
I had my RNY on 3/5 and am on pureed foods until my one month follow up.

MY basics are cottage cheese and applesauce (and suprisingly im not tired of it yet), poached or scrambled eggs, baby food meats and veggies, and ricotta cheese with tomato sauce.  I've also tried wendy's chili and baked cod.  TOday i bought some yougurt and greek yogurt, but not sure if i will like it.  Oh and i try to get 2 protein shakes in a day made with soy milk and unjury protein.  I can handle those pretty well but tend to drink them a little too fast.

Most days I get in 60-70g protien but im still having major problems getting all of my fluids in.  Between eating 2 Tbs to 1/4 cup per meal and taking all of my supplements, where am I supposted to PUT all of the liquids i need to consume?  Sometimes i feel like i need to be awake for 24 hours in order to get everything in LOL

SO far i havent found anything that really upsets my pouch (yet) but I still need to focus on slowing down eating and gulping liquids.

We Marchers can do this!!!!!
